The Disney Films by Leonard Maltin

This is the book, "The Disney Films", by Leonard Maltin. This is the third edition of the book. It covers the Disney animated feature films, from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" to "Pocahontas". It also gives "a comprehensive look at all of Disney's classic films, with discussions of every feature-length movie as well as surveys of the cartoon shorts and TV shows". This third edition was published in 1995, which was the year that "Pocahontas" was released in theaters. This book is a must-have book for anyone who wants to be an authority on Disney, with information about all the films that were made when Walt Disney was alive, and a lot more that were produced after his death. I still haven't watched all of the old classic non-animated Disney films yet, but I've seen most of them. This book is good for thinking of what new films to rent from Netflix or to purchase from Disney Movie Club.

OBEY Barack Obama HOPE poster by Stephen Fairey

This poster was given to me last week by my Republican friend Mark, who probably won't vote for Barack Obama. It's an impressive poster- it's pop art, and kind of reminds me of something that Andy Warhol did (you know the portraits that he did of Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson and Mickey Mouse?). The actual artist of this poster is Stephen Fairey. This poster, which has the word "HOPE" on it, is highly sought after by collectors. This one is a silk screen poster, printed on thick, high-quality paper. It measures 3 feet by 2 feet. It looks impressive, don't you think? This is a non-Disney item, but is nontheless quite magical.

Book - "Disney A to Z" by Dave Smith

This is the first edition of the book, "Disney A to Z" by Dave Smith, the head of the Disney Archives in Burbank, California. This book contains information about almost everything you always wanted to know about Disney- from the man Walt Disney himself, to every movie that The Walt Disney Company has made, right up to the date that the book was published. This book has already been updated at least a couple of times since the first edition. It is a must-have book for any major Disney fan. If you are looking for a good gift to give a Disney person, this book is indispensible (your friend might already have it).

Disney's Lost Chords by Russell Schroeder

This is the book, "Disney's Lost Chords" by Russell Schroeder. This book was a limited edition of 1,000 copies. As you can see, I got a personalized autograph from Mr. Schroeder. This book is a compiliation of sheet music of Disney songs and music that was never used in the Disney films that they were created for. This book is a must-have for hard-core fans of Disney music, and especially for those of you Disney fans who know how to read sheet music and play the piano! Another amazing thing about this book is the artwork found throughout the book. It is simply amazing!

I attended the National Fantasy Fan Club's convention last year, where this book was being discussed. I was one of many fortunate people who got to witness some of the songs in this book actually be "performed" live, with 3 singers and a piano player, and with the songs being introduced by Russell Shroeder himself. It was an amazing and powerful presentation at the convention, one that all in attendance will remember for a long time.

This is a beautiful book, and I am blessed to have received a copy. Hopefully they will expand the printing of this book so that more people can enjoy it.

Haunted Mansion Doom Buggy Toy with Mickey and Goofy

This is a small toy, a model of a "doom buggy" from the Haunted Mansion. Here, we see Mickey Mouse and Goofy and one of the "hitchhiking ghosts". I love this little piece, which I bought at Disneyland.
